I am sickened by the battle of two privileged, misogynistic woman-abusers going into battle over possession of the “truth” over Diana. I find both Charleses loathsome and decided to have a one-woman protest and reread “Diana, Princess of Wales: How Sexual Politics Shook the Monarchy” by the seriously impressive Beatrix Campbell.
It is erudite, properly researched, understanding – and a page turner – I’d forgotten what an easy read it was for a feminist-Marxist critique of the “first family” and the patriarchy!
It is absolutely humane, and reflects the woman who was abused and sacrificed. And now she is resurrected by her horrible brother for his financial gain and the pseudo-“rescue” of her reputation to enhance his own – as he raises money to deal with his latest divorce…
A plague on both your houses and all that. Thank you Beatrix!
